We'll probably be at the back in the conservatory area. The Swan is located just beyond the south-eastern end of the pedestrianised section of the High Street, between St James Street and Berkeley Street.

IMPORTANT PARKING NOTE – The large public car park directly behind the pub seems to officially close at 9.30pm although there is reportedly always a way out once you are in. However, it would probably be better to park elsewhere just to be sure! There’s also a different car park if you follow the road round the corner bearing left just where the High Street becomes pedestrianised – go past the pasta place on the corner and then past Wetherspoons, and it’s on the left.

Our meetings are usually once a month in Cheltenham but people from around Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds (and beyond) are very welcome to join us.

These meetings are independently organised out of personal interest in practising and improving Russian, and are arranged in good faith but with no guarantees of any kind (!) as a purely informal gathering in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Due to the extent of British regulations and potential liability, these evenings regrettably have to be for people aged 18 and above at least for the time being although this will be reviewed in due course. There is a mixed range of abilities in the group - the idea is for a fun relaxed evening where people can practise their Russian by talking and listening, and discussing various Russian topics either in English or in Russian.
